If you follow a lot of people on Twitter, as I do, it can become rather difficult to keep your following list under control. But fear not, help is at hand in the form of ManageFlitter, a free online service that makes sorting out your Twitter network a breeze.

Once you have connected your Twitter account to ManageFlitter you have access to a control panel which enables you to filter the users you follow using criterion such as inactive, no profile picture and not following back. Once you have filtered your list you can select any users you would like to unfollow and ManageFlitter will do the unfollowing for you behind the scenes. Being able to do things such as identify accounts you follow that have not tweeted for a long time makes cleaning up your follow list a lot easier.
